Best RV Sewer Hose: Reviewed for 2023
A sewer hose needs to do one thing, and that one thing well. Transfer your sewer and grey water from your black and gray tanks to the sewer dump without leaking or falling apart. Luckly, there are great products out there to help you do this that have been tested over time and are very reliable.
If you do have an inferior product, you are going to have a bad time.
With all that said, our pick is the Camco RhinoFLEX 20' hose kit that can be purchased off of Amazon or your local retailer.
Our Pick
The Camco RhinoFLEX 20' is a superior model as it compares to the competition, and it comes with 20 feet of hose as compared to 10′ as its competition has. The RhinoFlex comes with 20′ of hose, hose caps, and clear elbow adapter 4 in 1 adapter that can fit to any type of sewer connection.

Runner Up
Our runner up is a bit more expensive, but has the stats to prove it. The Lippert Wastemaster also comes in a 20′ length with the major difference being the connection type. Instead of the typical twist on connection, this has the far more secure Cam type connectorto ensure a leak proof connection. The Wastemaster also has a clear section to see when you are finished dumping and a shut off valve in case of an accident.

Budget Pick
Our budget pick is the basic Camco Sewer Kit that only comes with 10′ of hose and an opaque connector that is hard to gauge if you are finished dumping or not.

Why you should trust us?
We have been camping with our trailer for years now and have researched several sewer hoses. We have interacted with many people at the campground to find out their likes and dislikes they have found as well as established our own criteria.
Who is this for?
A sewer hose is for anyone with a RV, camper, travel trailer, tent trailer, 5th wheel, or any type of camping unit with a holding tank. Many people will go through a hose periodically due to damage or failure. These are easy to trip over and kink.
How we Picked?
We picked our top pick after much research and have had many trips under our belt with our top pick. The top pick has served us consistently for over 2 years without failure.
- The length of the hose is important, having too little, and you may not be able to reach the connection point, having too much may be hard to dump as your run is very long.
- Connection points are very important, we found that the Camco came with great seals. The twist on connection may not be as good as the CAM connection, but for most people’s use, it works great.
- Having a clear elbow will allow you to see when the water is flowing clear and when you are complete with your dump. This 90-degree fitting also attaches securely to the sewer drain so you don’t have sewage spilling all over the place.
How we tested?
We have used this model extensively over the years and have found its features to be the best for mosts needs. We have dumped lots of water and other material down ours without failure.
Our Pick
Our favorite model is the Camco RhinoFLEX 20' sewer hose. There are several factors that make it the best unit on the market. The hose is made of 23 mil polyolefin which is reinforced with steel wire to provide a durable sturdy hose that will not collapse with use.
If you have had a hose collapse on you, it is not fun. It can cause the fitting to jerk out of the dump station and cause a BIG MESS!
The RhinoFLEX comes with 2 sections of 10′ lengths giving you the availability to dump your RV if your sewer dump is far away. This also gives you a backup shall one of your hoses get stepped on or damaged. We have only used our second section twice, both the spot we were parked the sewer drain was more than 10 feet away. Each hose compresses to 39″ when being stored. Two of these will fit in a rear bumper sewer holder. The hoses both have caps for a spill free design when in storage.
The 90 degree clear elbow is a 4 in 1 adapter for connections to the sewer line, this fits ” slip connections and 3″, 3.5″, or 4″ threaded dump station pipes.

Runner Up
Our runner up pick, the MLippert Wastemaster is also a great unit, but price is what moves it to our runner up pick.
This unit is very high quality and comes with CAM lock connectors which ensure leakproof connections to the sewer outlet. The 20′ puncture resistant hose is UV protected and reduces to 5’6″ when not in use. This model will not fit in the bumper of a trailer due to its permanently connected nozzle with grip and shut off valve.
The nozzle connection on this unit is unique, it includes a clear section, ball style shut off valve, tapered rubber doughnut that fits securely into any size inlet, and a great handle which is very convenient for use. The shut-off valve is very nice, just in case there is a problem when you are draining.

Budget Pick
Our budget pick is the Camco complete sewer kit and is a 10′ hose with an integrated 90 degree fitting. The fitting is not clear, but it is opaque so you can see when water is complete flowing, but not necessarily if it is totally clear.
The hose is a 10′ hose that has slip-on connections. There is an included 90 degree fitting which connects to both threaded and slip on connections. The hose with fitting fits in a 4″ square bumper, but not the 4 in 1 adapter.
This hose does not have caps so you will need to make sure to clean out the hose after use to the best of your ability.
